STARTING OUT
If you are looking for somewhere to ride or race, you have come to the right place.
Find out when the next Kick Start course is on via
the Club Calendar (see home page).
If you are a senior rider (over 16 years of age) you can ride at our track during recreational scheduled recreational ride days on either the Dirt Track or Motocross track.
You don't need a road registered bike or even a motorcycle licence. All you need is a club membership and you're riding.
Junior riders can also ride at the track on recreational ride days under a club membership.
If you wish to race as a senior, you will need a Motorcycling Australia licence. To obtain one of these, you will need to complete a simple theory test and a basic ride test (if you don't have a motorcycle endorsement on your licence) to ensure you are familiar with the specifics of racing.
Children under the age of 16 must enlist and complete a Kick Start course run by our qualified coaches. This course is an excellent introduction to young riders of all abilities from first timers to the more adequate farm riders. The accredidation received from this course will enable you to apply to Motorcycling NSW for a licence to race.
The ACTMCC is one of the most successful Kick Start course proponents. With more than three years experience and over 300 children trained to ride and race more safely, you can be sure your children will receive a great deal from the two full day course of riding tuition.
For more information on this course, please see the KICK START booklet, also available from the Motorcycling NSW website.
For senior riders, the theory test contained in the Kick Start course is exactly the same.
